At E3 2006, Sony released updated images of the PS3 console. The unit will be launched in preferred black and a controller which looks quite similar to the current PS2 controller. Overall, the console looks clean and modern, with a functional and traditional controller.

In May of 2005, Sony announced the general outline of it's new Playstation 3 entertainment console (PS3), a few days later at E3 2005 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles, Sony revealed the prototype design for the PS3. These images were realeased to the media by Sony after E3. Simply put, it looks very slick.

Got to love the clean brushed metal appeal, along with an ultra modern yet simple controller. The console features a slot loading drive which lends nicely to the overall "sanitary" look of the machine. And yes, we're all very aware of the similarities between the new Playstation 3 logo and the Spiderman logo! Now wouldn't this look pretty beside a 50" HDTV plasma screen?
